DESCRIPTION
The Waters®TaperSlit™ Flow Cell design used in the 2487/2489 detectors renders the detector baseline insensitive to change in mobile phase refractive index. Refractive index changes occur during gradient separations or result from temperature or pump-induced pressure fluctuations.The TaperSlit™ flow cell has a taper to the internal bore of the flow cell. In the Waters® Analytical TaperSlit™ FlowCell, the combination of the lens and TaperSlit bore geometry prevents light from hitting the cell walls. The analytical cell has a 10mm path length and a cell volume of 10µL.
