DESCRIPTION
This comprehensive sampling kit contains the tools and supplies necessary to get started analyzing typical solids, liquids and gasses by transmission IR analysis using conventional techniques. For analysis of powders or pulverizable solids, the following are provided: 1) a hand-operated press and die set for forming 7mm KBr pellets, a KBr pellet-holder, a 50mm mortar & pestle and 100g of IR-grade KBr powder; 2) 1 oz. of Fluorolube and Nujol. For liquid analysis, the following are provided: 1) a demountable cell with 6 sets of KBr windows (i.e.. 6 drilled/undrilled pairs), assorted, precision PTFE spacers (2 each of path lengths = 0.005, 0.032, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 & 1.0 mm), a 2 µL syringe.
