DESCRIPTION
The Hellma Tray Cell 2.0 is designed for measuring extremely small volume (0.7-10 uL) of biomolecular samples and enables highly accurate analysis with remarkable reproducibility. Light is
guided through the sample via prisms and fiber-optic waveguides, reflected by the mirror and then guided back out of the TrayCell to the detector via the waveguides. Using the included 1 mm or 0.2 mm cap creates a defined optical light path of 1 mm and 0.2 mm respectively. This generates virtual dilution factors of 1:10 or 1:50 in comparison to a measurement with a standard 10 mm cuvette. This feature saves time and avoids dilution errors. If desired, samples can be retrieved after the measurement for further processing. Four caps with pathlengths 0.1mm, 0.2 mm, 1.0mm, 2.0mm (220-92788-11,12,13,14) are available (2 of them included in the standard package). With the Hellma Tray Cell the measurement range is approx. 6 – 8,500 ng/µl (dsDNA) and approx. 0.1 – 100 mg/ml (protein). The actual range depends on the type of spectrometer used.
