DESCRIPTION
MabSelect SuRe pcc protein A resin is an affinity chromatography resin for purification of monoclonal antibody and Fc-fusion proteins. The high resin capacity at short residence times makes it an excellent choice for periodic counter-current chromatography in monoclonal antibody (mAb) purification. The alkaline-stable, recombinant protein ligand allows for efficient resin cleaning. High dynamic binding capacity (e.g., ~ 60 g IgG/L resin at 2.4 min residence time). High productivity through capture of large mass of monoclonal antibody in a short period of time. Covered by a comprehensive security of supply program, including dual sources of the agarose base matrix and protein A ligand. Resin cleaning advantage The alkali-stabilized, protein A-derived ligand gives the resin greater stability than conventional protein A-based resins under the alkaline conditions used in cleaning-in-place (CIP) protocols. Consequently, the possibility of cleaning with cost-effective reagents such as sodium hydroxide (NaOH) will improve process economy. In addition, the use of NaOH for cleaning efficiently inactivates bacteria, mold, and yeast, with improved product quality as a result. Increases productivity of continuous chromatography capture steps The base matrix of MabSelect SuRe pcc combines a porosity optimized for monoclonal antibodies with a rigidity that delivers good pressure/flow properties. These features provide the ability to run the resin at high flow rates, thereby increasing productivity of continuous capture steps. The small bead size allows the high resolution required for applications such as purification of bispecific antibodies. MabSelect SuRe pcc is part of Cytiva's program for custom designed resins.
