DESCRIPTION
The Premier Elite Phenyl-Hexyl phase consists of a 6-carbon (hexyl) linked phenyl phase bonded to high purity silica. The longer alkyl linker provides increased hydrolytic stability (to pH 1.5) when compared to propyl-linked phenyl phase chemistry. The phenyl ligand offers different selectivity than straight chain hydrocarbon phases like C8 or C18, and it is especially useful for aromatic analytes, complex samples, and polar pharmaceutical compounds. Method development on an analytical Premier Elite Phenyl Hexyl column is highly recommended before purchasing a prep column. Prep columns cannot be returned or exchanged once used.
