DESCRIPTION
Ultrafiltration hollow fiber cartridges for laboratory-scale cross flow filtration, featuring a polysulfone membrane in a range of pore sizes.
Low flow rate requirements allow the use of smaller pumps.
Polysulfone membrane minimizes nonspecific protein binding and provides high product recovery.
Membrane areas from 110 to 1400 cm² (17 to 216 inch²) to suit specific processing needs.
Offered with tri-clamp end fittings for quick and easy aseptic connection.
Autoclavable devices (with the exception of 1000 NMWC) address the need for small-volume sanitary processing.
Hollow fiber filter technology from Cytiva provides exceptional performance due to a proprietary manufacturing process that minimizes macrovoids and pinhole defects.
Cross flow filtration at laboratory-scale and beyond
Cross flow filtration (CFF), also known as tangential flow filtration (TFF), is a fast and efficient technique for concentration, diafiltration (buffer exchange and desalting), and fractionation of biomolecules. Xampler ultrafiltration cartridge filters are designed for laboratory-scale processes, with typical volumes ranging from a few hundred milliliters to about 5 liters of solution.
Xampler cartridges have nominal flow path lengths of 30 and 60 cm and membrane areas ranging from 0.01 to 0.14 m² (17 to 216 inch²). Moreover, they are directly scalable to pilot- and process-scale cartridges with equivalent path lengths.
Compatible with QuixStand Benchtop System
Xampler cartridges have self-contained housings that are well-matched to the ÄKTA flux tangential flow filtration system. When operated in a vertical orientation complete process fluid drainage and maximum product recovery is achieved.
Applications for Xampler ultrafiltration solutions
Clarification of lysates and cell cultures.
Concentration, diafiltration, and purification of monoclonal antibodies, plasmids, proteins, viruses, vaccines, colloids, and plasma.
Manufacturing material for early stage clinical trials.
Scale-up and scale-down studies.
