The bactericidal UV lamp is a built-in device that reduces the bacteria level in water to provide optimum quality pure water for bacteria-sensitive applications. This mercury UV lamp, emitting at 254 nm, is placed in the storage tank to limit bacterial growth and prevent biofilm formation, thus preserving the quality of stored pure water.
