AxiChrom™ 300 to 2000 chromatography columns are controlled via AxiChrom™ Column Controller, a control unit with a touch screen and a motor drive. AxiChrom™ Column Controller controls AxiChrom™ chromatography columns and offers pre-programmed automated methods for packing, unpacking, priming, and maintenance to simplify column handling and improve uptime. Compatible with a range of AxiChrom™ chromatography columns, from 300 to 2000 mm. One AxiChrom™ Column Controller unit can be used to control up to 20 individual columns. Integrates via PROFIBUS or EtherNet/IP into UNICORN™ software or a higher automation system, such as DeltaV™ Distributed Control System. Batch records can be saved when connected to UNICORN™ software or other automation systems, simplifying your documentation needs. AxiChrom™ Column Controller replaces AxiChrom™ Master 300-2000* AxiChrom™ Column Controller supports Intelligent Packing of AxiChrom™ columns. When connected to an ÄKTA process™ system, UNICORN™ software is used as the operator interface for priming, packing, and unpacking columns using automated methods created with the Intelligent Packing wizard. AxiChrom™ Column Controller includes a packing feature with automatic bed detection confirmation that stops packing at a set packing factor or at a set bed height, which reduces required operator interaction. Manual column packing feature with confirmations is also available. Customized chromatography resins to be defined in AxiChrom™ Column Controller and stored in an easily accessible, separate resin list. AxiChrom™ Column Controller enables work in compliance with US FDA’s 21 CFR Part 11 regulation with local user management/support for Active Directory and an event log extractable through File Transfer Protocol (FTP). The AxiChrom™ Column Controller should reside in a controlled environment where all communication with AxiChrom™ Column Controller and AxiChrom™ columns is over an isolated secure network.
