Chromatography vials are containers used to transport your sample matrix to the instrument prior to injection. Agilent offers a broad range of chromatography vials in a variety of volumes, material compositions, and closure types to meet the specific needs of a wide range of applications. The design of Agilent vials, inclusive of form, fit and function, enables the wide compatibility of our vials with various autosamplers.


Our portfolio includes clear glass vials for your general use and amber vial for applications involving light sensitive sample analytes. Our complete range of glass chromatography vials are made from Type 1 borosilicate glass which is compatibility with the widest range of sample matrices including acidic, neutral or alkaline pHs. The high-quality materials in use can minimize extractables leeching from the glass and interfering with the analytes of interest.

Agilent vial cap and septa are manufacturing with a multi-stage curing process reducing septum bleeding leading to cleaner background chromatography for improved sample measurement.

Overview

Autosampler vials are designed to carry your sample matrices into your GC or HPLC instrument via the autosampler. Agilent's autosampler vials include a wide range of HPLC vials and GC vials designed and optimized to work with Agilent autosamplers & HPLC, GC platforms. These HPLC and GC vials are available as snap, screw or crimp in style, 15uL to 20 mL in sample size, and various of low bleed and high-quality material composition.


For GC, GC/MS applications where sample matrices contain volatile or semi-volatile analytes of interest, the most common choice are crimp style vials to limit sample contents from leaking from the vial/closure combination.


For LC, LC/MS applications, sample matrices tend to be less volatile. With limited sample loss, most customers often consider screw vials or snap vials and associated screw vial caps and snap vial caps.
