DESCRIPTION
This kit is an economical combination of traditional accessories for the transmission IR analysis of solids, liquids and gasses using conventional techniques. For liquid analysis, the following are provided: 1) a demountable cell with 6 sets of KBr windows (i.e.. 6 drilled/undrilled pairs), assorted, precision PTFE spacers (2 each of path lengths = 0.005, 0.032, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 & 1.0 mm), a 2 µL syringe. For analysis of powders or pulverizable solids, the following are provided: 1) a simple bolt-press with 1/2 wrench for forming 7mm KBr pellets, a 35mm mortar & pestle and 100g of IR-grade KBr powder; 2) 1 oz. of Fluorolube and Nujol and a press on mull.
