DESCRIPTION
The inner and outer surfaces of the SPS are bonded separately, allowing each to be varied independently. The C8 structure includes an Octyl hydrophobic inner phase, which allows for separation of small analytes. The hydrophilic outer phase of polyethylene glycol provides size exclusion and hydrophilic shielding, which repels large biomolecules.
