DESCRIPTION
Shim-pack Scepter columns consist of an organosilane hybrid particle for excellent stability and performance and reliable scaleup from a Scepter Phenyl-120 analytical column. The phenylbutyl ligand provides unique selectivity compared to a C8 or C18 due to pi-pi interactions between the analyte and stationary phase. The phenyl phase is recommended for the analysis of aromatic compounds, isomers and structural analogs, and can be used in 100% aqueous conditions. USP L11, pore size: 120A, pH range: 1-10, max pressure: 45 MPa/450 bar/6,500 psi, 17% carbon load, fully endcapped. Method development on an analytical Scepter Phenyl-120 column is highly recommended before purchasing a prep column. Prep columns cannot be returned or exchanged once used. Use with prep guard cartridges 227-31165-01 and holder 227-31171-01 to prolong the life of the column. Similar to XBridge BEH Phenyl and Gemini C6-Phenyl.
